
Township History
Falls Township is one of the twenty-five townships of Muskingum County, Ohio and was organized in 1808. Statewide, the only other Falls Township is located in Hocking County.
Area = 24.6 square miles Population = 8,698 (2023 census)


Township Officials
Falls Township is governed by an elected three-member Board of Trustees and an elected Township Fiscal Officer. The primary duty of Falls Township is maintaining 56 miles of township roads. The township also maintains cemeteries and enforces a Zoning Resolution which governs approximately 50 percent of the township. Falls Township Fire Department is a separate entity and is not governed by the Board of Trustees. Contact information is listed on this page.
